Week 1 & 2: Pauline & Jon's Weight Loss Diary

Biggest challenge in the last fortnight: Watching my friend order a hot chocolate and croissant on our walk and managing to not give in.
Biggest success in the last fortnight: Perfecting how to make a perfect shaped crepe

How I’m feeling: Great, Invigorated, Creative
Weight loss update: Lost 3.3 kilos
Biggest challenge in the last fortnight: Having my son staying for weekend and resisting temptation of grazing of his plate.
Biggest success in the last fortnight: Managing my craving for fizzy juice and replacing it with water.

So here we are at the beginning of our weight loss journey with Temple Vie. It looks like a programme that will help us lose weight quickly and safely. I know we will need the regular support and accountability to keep us on track and I am excited by the promise that Temple Vie will help us to make the necessary changes which will help us to stay slim.

Before we get started here is a little about us both.

I’m Jonathan I’m 40 years old and I like food. You name it I will eat it, however for the past few years I know I have been eating the wrong types of food. I need to lose weight and I need to improve my health.

My main motivation for losing weight is primarily for my 4-year-old son as I want to be fit and healthy as he grows up and not be the overweight unfit dad embarrassing him at sports day.  It is important that I am a good role model for him and set good examples in life. I am getting married in less than 6 months, so I want to look and feel my best on our special day.  I am excited to start the programme as it is a new challenge and also an opportunity to get back into the kitchen and cook which is something I really enjoy doing.

I am Pauline I am 39 years old. Like so many others have tried all sorts of different weight loss plans that have helped me lose weight but never actually helped me keep it off.

One of my main goals and motivations for doing this is of course our wedding in June as I want to look and feel my absolute best on the big day. I don’t think there is a bride out there who doesn’t share that same dream. However most importantly for me is I want to improve my quality of health and get rid of all my bad habits with food. The big goal for me is to start living a healthier lifestyle.

I am looking forward to starting the programme, I don’t deny that I am slightly anxious about what I have signed up to, but I also know that I have to give this my best shot – and by sharing our journey I will feel accountable to you too.
