How I’m feeling:
I feel motivated and looking forward to a bit more normality next week, be good to walk to work and see some of the shops busy again
Weight loss update:
Lost 0.5kg this week. Weight lost to date 6.2 kilos/13.6 pounds.
Biggest challenge in the last week:
I had a super busy week and watched my family eat chicken korma and peshwari naan bread! (my fav) I did not even so much as taste the sauce!
Biggest success in the last week:
Walked everyday and made sure I got at least 8 hours of sleep every single night.
Week 14 already, I can genuinely say hand on heart I have enjoyed the journey so far. Last week I was a tad disheartened as I managed to gain 0.5kg with, in my mind, no explanation. In reality it is just one of those things that can happen.
I am both delighted and relieved that I lost weight this week. During my review with Dr Sam I was reminded that there is so much more going on than just the numbers on the scales and I am steadily getting closer to my goal.
This week I asked my husband to take a full body picture. This would normally fill me with dread; however I was pleasantly surprised with the photo and we both agreed that I am looking much more like “me".
The warmer weather has helped me get lots more steps in this week and I took time to enjoy just being outside, even walking to work in the sun felt lovely.
I know I still have a little bit more weight to lose but I am starting to really like my old self again. I feel motivated and I'm keen to explore new hobbies and exercise that I can enjoy - now that everywhere is starting to open up, and with Rubislaw Quarry offering some fun water activities, I quite fancy a shot at paddle boarding. I am so looking forward to booking a holiday (fingers crossed) - even if it is just a 'staycation' that will be a challenge choosing my 'Scottish summer' wardrobe.
There’s a new delivery going this week and I can't wait to try the new Temple Vie savoury options - rumour has it that they are delicious!! I will share my Master Chef reviews with you next week ;-)
